In 1997 Gero Hilliger from Berlin, Germany drew a portrait of an unknown person in 6.2 seconds. Gero went onto set a record in 1998 for drawing 384 different portraits in 90 minutes. On 21 December 2003 whilst blindfolded Gero drew a portrait of a person whom he had never seen before, using his hands to touch the face before drawing it in a world record time of 48.7 seconds.
