May 30, 2009 |17:07 | Gossips  By : Team X

Kim-Kardashian---I-love-youThe reality TV star and Playboy pin-up told The Sun: "I love it in the UK. I love the accent and there are definitely some cute men.

"I just love travelling and meeting new people."But before you get too excited, the star - who this week posed for a sexy Ocean Drive mag shoot in a basque, stockings, suspenders and high heels - is happily settled with current boyfriend REGGIE BUSH.

She says of the American football star: "I've been with Reggie for two years and he's definitely the man for me, he's everything I would want in a man. "It's not too difficult having a relationship in the spotlight.

"We're on a reality TV show but we try to have a balance - we make sure we have our private moments if you know what I mean!"

Kim was previously married to music producer DAMON THOMAS. The pair tied the knot in 2000 but divorced after four years. She says it's definitely not put her off getting hitched again - although will certainly delay her second big day.

Music producer Spector faces sentencing for murder

May 29, 2009 |15:35 | Music  By : Team X

Legendary music producer Phil Spector was to be sentenced Friday after being found guilty last month of murdering an actress at his Los Angeles mansion six years ago. Spector, 69, who created the famed "Wall of Sound" recording technique during the 1960s, could be jailed for nearly 20 years if Los Angeles Judge Larry Paul Fidler follows recommendations from prosecutors.

Deputy District Attorney Alan Jackson said in a motion filed earlier this month that Spector should be sentenced to 19 years for killing Lana Clarkson, best known for her role in cult 1985 film "The Barbarian Queen."

Although the mandatory sentence is 15 years to life, Jackson argued Spector should face an additional four years for personal use of a gun in the crime. Clarkson was found slumped in a chair with a gunshot wound to the head in the foyer of Spector's castle-like home on February 3 2003, only hours after meeting the producer for the first time at the nightclub where she worked.

Supreme Court pick Sotomayor faces nomination politics

May 28, 2009 |16:51 | Politics  By : Team X

Supreme Court pick Sotomayor faces nomination politicsThe Coalition for Constitutional Values began television ads nationwide on Wednesday in support of Supreme Court nomineeSonia Sotomayor. On the other side, the Judicial Confirmation Network sent an online ad opposing her to 2.5 million people on its mailing list.

That's how the public relations campaign began over President Obama's historic nomination of the Hispanic appellate judge  with liberals able to spend freely on network and cable TV and conservatives limited to the less expensive Internet.

A day's campaigning may not define what's to come in the four months before Sotomayor hopes to be seated. For now, though, it shows Obama has united liberals behind his pick and left conservatives scouring her record for ammunition.

Struggling ITV clears schedules for talent show

May 26, 2009 |14:02 | Music  By : Team X

Struggling ITV clears schedules for talent showIt's not every day that a commercial broadcaster clears a week's worth of prime time scheduling for a 73-year-old break dancer who goes by the name of "Grand Master Fred", a man who bites chunks out of apples as he juggles them and a Greek-Cypriot father and son Riverdance tribute routine.

But then it's not very often such acts bring in 50 percent of Britain's television audience and millions of advertising revenue in the depths of a recession.

Every night this week, barring Wednesday's Champion's League final, up to 13 million people will tune in to ITV to watch the final stages of this year's Britain's Got Talent which culminates in a grand finale this Saturday.

May 21, 2009 |13:52 | Favorite TV Shows  By : Team X

The-Premiere-Of-Irvins-TV-SAnother year for the Cowboys, another reality show, and just like Hard Knocks, DallasCowboys.com is here with more knee-jerk thoughts following the first episode of Michael Irvin's 4th and Long, the series debuting Monday night on Spike TV.

The theme to the show is simple: There are six defensive backs and six wide receivers, and by the end of the series, one guy will be selected to fill the 80th spot on the Cowboys' 80-man roster heading to training camp in San Antonio the final week of July.

But along the way we'll get to know these real-life football players, hoping the Turk will not come fetch them, as the players are eliminated from the competition with each show.  So let's get started with some initial impressions of the premier showing of this series.

Kim Kardashian and Sisters Take Over South Beach

May 19, 2009 |15:58 | Gossips  By : Team X

The outing followed morning work efforts, during which time Kim kindly let her man get some much needed rest. She hit up her twitter account earlier in the day, writing: “I hate have to leave my boyfriend in bed sleeping. I have to get up & work, but he is so precious sleeping! I gave him a morning kiss. We have a sweet little funny kiss we do when one of us hasn’t brushed our teeth yet!”

Angels & Demons WILL damage the Catholic church

Angels Demons WILL damage the Catholic church

Now that they've got round to seeing Angels & Demons, the pope's people seem to have decided that it is, after all, harmless. Perhaps they'll now be apologising to director Ron Howard's people for obstructing the shoot.

At the very least, let's hope they'll discourage conservative media watchdogs from calling Tom Hanks a "pawn of Satan" for starring in the sequel to The Da Vinci Code. You can see why the Vatican might have decided to relent. Unlike its Dan Brown predecessor, Angels & Demons doesn't diss Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene or Opus Dei. Its handling of its most resonant rift, the conflict between religion and modernity, seems sympathetic to Catholicism, at least superficially.

The Vatican is portrayed as harbouring reaction and stupidity, but also compassion and insight, and it's the latter that are allowed to prevail. All in all, Angels & Demons sometimes sounds like an act of penance for The Da Vinci Code that could have been scripted by the Catholic church's PR department. However, its visual impact belies its overt message.

Public Enemies TV Spots

May 16, 2009 |13:50 | Movies  By : Team X

Public-Enemies-TV-SpotsMichael Mann's trilby-and-tommy-guns epic Public Enemies is heading this way in all it's spats-y, stylish glory, and Universal have geared up for its US release with a couple of new TV spots. The two ads show Johnny Depp in full bank-robbing affect as infamous gangster John Dillinger, with Christian Bale hot on his heels as Melvin Purvis, the FBI G-Man trying to bring him down.

Bale and Depp are merely the tip of the Mann-berg though, with an awesome supporting cast including Stephen Graham (Baby Face Nelson), Marion Cotillard (Billie Frechette), Giovanni Ribisi (Alvin Karpis), Channing Tatum ( Pretty Boy Floyd), Stephen Dorff (Homer van Meter) and Billy Crudup as FBI founder and resident weirdo J. Edgar Hoover.

Caught! The Kardashians Celebrate Their Hotness

May 15, 2009 |14:45 | Showbiz  By : Team X

Caught! The Kardashians Celebrate Their HotnessKhloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian all hit up the Maxim Hot 100 Party last night in Santa Monica. The Kardashian sisses posted up at a table near DJ Am who was spinning, and they all seemed to be in a fun partying mood.

Kim looked smokin' in a tight white dress (no cellulite there, folks), but the gal who really stole the show was our fave sis Khloe. The babe rocked her tight fitted black dress and told buds she lost 16 pounds over the last several months. Whatever the girl's doin' is workin'! Just don't get all Lohan on us.

More va-va sibling… Kim was quick to say hi to fellow Dancing With The Stars gals Lacey Schwimmer and Julianne Hough, both looking tiny and adorable. The gals all took pics together for a while and seemed to have a good time catching up.

Way less snap-happy—and then some—was permanent crank-jerk... Jeremy Piven. Despite having some of LA's finest around, he still couldn't shed that grinch like 'tude.

Survey - Consumers prefer DVDs to downloads

May 13, 2009 |14:03 | Movies  By : Team X

Consumers have spoken. They'd still rather pop a disc into a DVD player than download or watch a video online, according to a new survey. Sales and rentals of DVDs and Blu-ray discs in the U.S. made up 88 percent of consumer home video spending over the past three months, according to the survey released Tuesday by market researcher NPD Group.

Your average U.S. consumer paid about $25 per month on video purchases and rentals, with 63 percent on DVD purchases, 7 percent on Blu-ray Disc purchases, 18 percent on rentals, 9 percent on video on demand, and only 3 percent on digital downloads.

Despite the continued popularity of DVD and Blu-ray, online viewing has gained a foothold. In the past three months, 9 percent of connected consumers said they watched movies online versus 5 percent last year. Eight percent rented a movie online, a jump of 4 percent since last year, NPD reported.
