Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to Sing for a Pakistani Film ‘Tamanna’

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to Sing for a Pakistani Film TamannaRahat Fateh Ali Khan has sung tens of songs for Bollywood films every single of which has been on charts. He has won several awards in India and has been quite a celebrity. He has been awarded the best playback singer in 56th Fimfare, 17th Starscreen and 6th Apsara. He also scored best vocalist of the year in Mirchi music awards 2010 and best non-film album at GIMA.

With so many achievements in India, he hardly has a playback career in Pakistan. The only song I remember him doing for a Pakistani feature film was “Mein Tenu Samjhawan Ki” for “Virsa”. We also heard that he will be giving soundtrack for Humayun Saeed’s “Daag” but that hasn’t come out yet.

Sources have just reported that Rahat also plans to give a song to a Pakistani film Tamanna which is a UK-Pakistani production and a result of British director’s Steven Moore’s love for Lahore. Sources add the song shall be released any minute, first on the radios followed by all other mediums.
