Despite cold weather, nearly 20,000 rock fans rushed to the Giang Vo Exhibition Centre to dance, shout and headbang with rockers.

Ngu Cung won the first prize. The second prize went to Titanium, while the third and the audience’s prize went to Unlimited.

The three remaining bands, Sagometal, Holly Redcross and Silent received consolation prizes.

Ngu Cung and Unlimited will perform with US rock band, My Chemical Romance, on January 20 at the Military Zone Stadium in HCM City, in the show Unite 08.

The Tiger Beer-sponsored “Rock Your Passion” contest was launched by the Central Light Music Theater and the advertising firm D&D in early November 2007 to search for the best rock group in Vietnam. The contest attracted around 50 rock bands throughout the country and the six above were the finalists.
