Australian actress Nicole Kidman says she hopes to make more movies aimed at teenagers.
"A lot of the films that I have made are adult films," Kidman told a Tokyo news conference to promote the Japanese premiere of The Golden Compass.
"I think once you have children, occasionally you want to make films that they can take their friends to," she said.
She says her goal would be to perform in movies that appeal to both boys and girls of around 15-years of age.
"It's fun. It requires different skills," she added.
Kidman, 40, is pregnant with her first biological child.
She has two adopted children with her former husband, actor Tom Cruise.
Kidman won a best actress Oscar in 2002 for The Hours in which she portrayed English novelist Virginia Woolf.
She was also nominated for an Academy Award the previous year for her role in the musical Moulin Rouge.
Her more complicated roles have included Stanley Kubrick's sexually charged thriller Eyes Wide Shut and Lars von Trier's Dogville.
