Korean TV series to be VietnamizedFull House”, a successful South Korean TV series, will have a Vietnamese version, announced Viet Film and BHD Company.

The two firms have bought the copyright of this series from South Korea’s KBS. This TV film was introduced in Vietnam in 2005 and won the hearts of millions of Vietnamese.

Reputed director Vu Ngoc Dang has been invited to Vietnamize the “Full House” script. The core content will be maintained.

However, the Vietnamese series will have 26 episodes, instead of 17 of the original script. The first episode will be shot in April for broadcasting in July or August 2009.

Full House was produced in 2004, based on a cartoon of the same title, with 17 episodes. The movie is about Han Ji Eun, an orphan girl who dreams of becoming a writer. The story begins when the girl’s two friends plot to appropriate her house. They trick her into travelling to China and during that time they sell the house to a famous actor. The new owner of the house is a guy that Han Ji Eun meets during the tour.

To avoid problems with the media and to help Han Ji Eun get back her house, the two decide to pretend to get married. Before the public, Han Ji Eun is the actor’s wife but at home, she has to work as a servant for 6 months to redeem her house.

Han Ji Eun falls in love with the actor, who has a girlfriend already. Meanwhile, the actor’s close friend falls in love with Han Ji Eun. These complicated relationships make the movie interesting. Finally, real love smites Han Ji Eun and the actor, unsurprisingly.

The movie has become very famous in many Asian countries. KBS plans to introduce the second part of this series later this year. The biggest difficulty for Vietnamese producers is seeking suitable actors and actresses for the film.
